Mahdi Alavi

Mahdi moved to Colorado from Philadelphia and finished his bachelor and master’s degree in Architecture from University of Colorado Boulder and Denver. He started his career in multifamily housing projects in Rocky Mountains and found his way back to the Denver area where he continued working on designing and delivering large scale multifamily and hospitality projects in the last 6 years. He has also completed several boutique TI projects throughout Denver metro area. Mahdi is passionate about feasibility studies, concept planning, collaborative design, and master planning. In his free time, you can mostly find him either on his horse, skiing or hiking in the mountains.

Homa Naz Ansari

Homa was born and brought up in different parts of India. She moved to the US to earn her master’s degree in architecture from the University of Houston where among other projects she worked on an award winning modular house design that can be quickly deployed during natural disasters. Homa is excited to start her professional journey at Parikh Stevens and she believes the client – architect interaction is central to creating holistic and unique designs.

Eric Badgett

Eric was born in California and lived around the US before settling down in Denver, CO.  He received his Doctorate of Architecture from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, with internships in Honolulu, Los Angeles and New York City.  He has gained multiple years of experience in all phases of Architectural projects from planning through construction administration, with an emphasis on residential architecture.  With a passion for both the built and natural environments, Eric hopes to make a large impact on the future of Denver.

Ben Burghart

Ben is a designer with a passion for travel, history, and the craft of architecture. After earning degrees in religious and global studies, including two trips abroad to Ghana and Namibia, he taught high school world history in Virginia for several years before choosing a career in architecture. He earned his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia, then worked in San Francisco and Paris before moving to Denver. He brings an open-minded, yet critical perspective to the design process, and enjoys working at various scales and learning the latest tools and methods. He’s an avid soccer player and fan, hiker, baker, and aspiring pizzaiolo.

Steve DuRoss

Steve earned his masters degree from Northeastern University, in Boston, MA. Research for his masters degree focused on the development of new building codes and adaptations to existing code elements. Steve’s work utilizes the principals of research-based design, believing that gathering information from multiple sources is necessary for shaping and informing a proper design. His experience as a maintenance man and groundskeeper for the Bridgewater Housing Authority allows him to provide insight into possible maintenance concerns early in the design process.

Bryan Hinckley

Bryan creates high quality and artful environments, complementing his client’s needs and the project’s location.  He brings over 20 years of experience as an Architect, specializing in residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings.  His organizational skills, field experience and attention to detail are essential to the success of bringing projects from design through construction.  Bryan earned his Master of Architecture degree in Urban Design at the University of Colorado at Denver, and his Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, spending a year studying abroad with Denmark’s International Study Program.

Kirstin Marshall 

Kirstin was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Fort Myers, Florida. she graduated from the University of Miami in 2018 with her B.Arch and summer internships in Fort Meyers, and for the Department of Interior – National Park Services in Washington D.C.. Travel to Cuba, Colombia and a semester abroad in Rome has influenced her desire to utilize architecture to create a sense of place through analyzing the past as well as looking to the future. Kirstin looks forward to gaining experience towards earning her Architectural license while enjoying the hiking and skiing that Colorado has to offer.

Sean Murray 

With 9 years of experience in multifamily design, Sean combines his passion for place making with a strong grasp of Computer Hardware and Software Technologies associated with the Architectural profession. In addition to being a well-rounded architectural professional, Sean is also the company Systems Administrator and keeps Parikh Stevens Architects on the cutting edge of industry technology. Proper utlization of technology is a key component of today’s professional practice and Sean’s expertise in this very crucial arena is highly regarded.

Alex Neul

Alex has acquired a diverse array of skills within the architectural field with 15 years of experience in governmental, educational, mixed-use, residential, and affordable housing throughout the Front Range. His areas of expertise include the implementation of construction technologies, building code analysis, consultant coordination, specification writing and construction administration. Alex applies his technical knowledge to all projects from concept through completion and is especially known for his diligent pursuit of quality during the Construction Administration process. His ability to manage both large and small projects with focus and energy is a great asset to the project team.

Jeru Parikh

With a Bachelor’s in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Jeru has a remarkably strong foundational knowledge of the built environment and open spaces. Jeru has more than 20 years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect which culminated in a decade long stint at the City of Denver Parks & Recreation where she managed significant high profile projects such as the Levitt Pavilion and the Carla Madison Recreation Center. In her new avatar as the Cultural Coordinator for Parikh Stevens Architects, she helps advance the professional and social culture of the firm while improving our office systems and coordinating our continuing education. With her broad and varied experience as a widely respected design professional and a highly accomplished project manager, Jeru plays a vital role in cooking, preserving, and refining our Secret Sauce.

Shona Parikh

Shona trained under Santiago Calatrava’s famed cat El Gato Loco in Valencia, Spain where she mastered the art of chasing after laser pointer dots. After her apprenticeship in Spain, Shona moved to Genoa, Italy to join forces with Cane Pazzo, Renzo Piano’s proud Pritzker Prize winning pet. Together, Shona and Cane Pazzo developed a new design for what is considered to be the most efficient dog legged stair configuration known to man. In 2015, Shona joined Parikh Stevens Architects to take charge of security and other canine affairs. Shona also takes a deep interest in building codes, specializing in locating Fire Hydrants as required by IFC Table C105.1.

Alan Scheer

Over the last 7 years, Alan has worked on a variety of project types including high-end hospitality, multi-family residential, cultural and higher education. Alan’s understanding of history and culture give him an appreciation for the urban fabric and a desire to design with that sense of place in mind. He utilizes his expertise in physical and virtual modeling to explore design strategies through all stages of project development. Alan leads our efforts in the implementation and standardization of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and believes that such advances offer the potential for improved collaboration between disciplines.

Katie Winovich

Katie grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to New York to pursue her degree in architecture. She recently moved to Denver and joined our team where she looks forward to becoming a licensed architect. Her dedication to architecture is inspired by her love for creating more sustainable and impactful built environments. In her spare time Katie enjoys hiking and cooking.
